In his early twenties, TK moved to Melbourne and taught himself to tattoo. He later began his professional career at Studio Tattoo Mania in Montreal, then continued honing his craft at W-OKI Tattoo in Okinawa after returning to Japan.
Drawing on experience from both overseas and Japanese tattoo culture, he opened Bluebird Tattoo in his hometown of Kyoto, in the Gojo Rakuen neighborhood. He specializes in color work inspired by Japanese aesthetics — especially kacho-ga (flower-and-bird) motifs and flora and fauna — with vivid color and a soft, gentle finish.
